What did teachers do with the book: La Maria no té por

For those teachers who are thinking about applying the book “La Maria no té por” at school, they should see the wonderful job that Sharay Parrilla did on her blog in which she proposes many activities.
This activities go around the theme of fighting the fear. One of them is creating a monster with salt, and another consists on making shadow images and try to guess what monster is it. She has also developed dome table games to work with the monsters and creatures, as for example a dominoe.
She also has some proposals of activities to do before and after reading the book.
A really funny one is mented to be an introduction to the book. This activity consists on finding where the book is located. Mary, the main character, sends a letter to the children in which she explain that she lost her book and needs some help to find it. This letter should also include a map to guide the children. They will have to follow the map and achieve some activities in order to find the book.

MONSTER FILM
The Valencian Public School Serverí de Torres has done a film about the Espantacriatures.
The plot is an adaptation of a story, and it has been written for the 5-year-old children.
In this film the children discover that the monsters from the book are missing and they get out of the school and search all over their town to find them.
